The Association "Knowledge Economy Forum" in cooperation with Mykolas Romeris University organized the international conference "Knowledge Economy Entering Highroad".

The Conference was intended to give an opportunity to researchers, political decision makers and representatives of different interest groups to present and share their work and experience in order to discuss main development perspectives of knowledge economy in Lithuania, to explore its problems and to draw lessons regarding best practices. The special attention on the Conference was given to valuable experience of different countries on R&D, European Union financial mechanisms, learning regions issues. With the input of all participants, the Conference was expected to lead to recommendations to Lithuanian Government on R&D, financial, social, science, knowledge economy policies.

The participation of over 150 representatives, among them political and leading business strategists as well as representatives of science and public organizations were expected at the conference. This conference was an outstanding opportunity for discussing common Lithuanian growth indicators and the development perspectives of knowledge economy, for deepening professional experience and affiliating new contacts.
